Hello I'm new to TDR also and I have a 2001 2500 4x4 automatic sport. My question is: I have had some work done on my truck but the dyno #s came out low. The shop told me that my truck was a 1st series 2001 and the computer was the reason I was so short on the power. I was told the later 2001 trucks had upgraded computers. Is this true ? And can it be upgraded ? I was told it could be.

they may be referring to a computer reflash that has to be done by a dealer. You can try a search on reflashes and see what comes up. What were your dyno #'s?

Don't be shy What type of "work" did you have done



I get that HO, ETH, ET? thing mixed up all the time. Stock I saw 187 HP Stock for 2001 should be around the same and 2001. 5 is more. Maybe 210 HP



I am sure someone here will provide better information

The upgrades I had done were Stage 2 injectors, boost module, 4" exhaust and gauges.



My dyno #s were 172 stock and after were 246. 1 on the HP. The torque was 349. 7 stock and494. 1 after.



I still love the way it runs and its fun to drive but allways want more. Oo.
