Hello I'm new to TDR also and I have a 2001 2500 4x4 automatic sport. My question is: I have had some work done on my truck but the dyno #s came out low. The shop told me that my truck was a 1st series 2001 and the computer was the reason I was so short on the power. I was told the later 2001 trucks had upgraded computers. Is this true ? And can it be upgraded ? I was told it could be.

Welcome aboard,

they may be referring to a computer reflash that has to be done by a dealer. You can try a search on reflashes and see what comes up. What were your dyno #'s?

tcampbell1,

Don't be shy:rolleyes: What type of "work" did you have done:confused:

I get that HO, ETH, ET? thing mixed up all the time. Stock I saw 187 HP:( Stock for 2001 should be around the same and 2001. 5 is more. Maybe 210 HP:confused:

I am sure someone here will provide better information;)

Welcome to the TDR:D

The upgrades I had done were Stage 2 injectors, boost module, 4" exhaust and gauges.

My dyno #s were 172 stock and after were 246. 1 on the HP. The torque was 349. 7 stock and494. 1 after.

I still love the way it runs and its fun to drive but allways want more. Oo.

So the dealer will do the flash on my comp or should, or who would :(
