Lets annoy them back

This is getting into a touchy area here because "right to carry" rights are bumping into "private property" rights.

You are exactly right, anything to do with guns or other rights etc. is always a touchy area (believe it started the Revolution that formed this country), and usually either side will not change or alter their position according to what the other side presents.

Which Articles of the Bill of Rights, carries precedence over others?, cause they can be deleted or added to by Constitutional procedure as has occurred in the past. Another example, might be bad, incomplete, inaccurate reporting (even malicious) but hiding behind freedom of the press, as a universal right no matter what (often the solution is we do not admit any wrong doing, but will print a retraction , or settle for something)

The interesting thing about the MN. version of carry (my understanding from I have heard, of course my vewpoint might be biased) is that the issue of parking lots was put in to allow people to carry but if the Owner/User of the building (Church for one example, employer, home owner, for others) did not want firearms inside, the person could leave the firearm in their car, yet retain the right to carry for the remainder of the journey (maybe a form of compromise). Again from what I have heard this particiular church (2 pastors more specifically) is against weapons, war, any form of violance, protection etc. including having any kind of firearms for any use, and actively participating against anything to do with the previous items, so they are biased and using their rights of religion against another right to have firearms.

This system of governing may not be perfect, but it sure beats the alternatives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a nut a couple of years ago walk into a church and open up on some folks, gotta agree with CF, stupidity is the problem. In Texas you can keep carry in a parking lot at a school, just don't get out of the car with it on or you're toast. That's so you can drop off the kids without breaking the law.

We had all of the predictions of blood waist deep in the streets when TX was debating going to the CCW.

Of course when the first guy got arrested 6 months or so after permits were issued, the Ft Worth Red Star Telegram (who had a small red star in the center of their front page banner in tribute to the USSR) trumpeted it. The carnage never came, just like everything else the leftists always predict.

Many businesses had little signs (in violation of the law) that stated that CCW was not welcome in their business. I made it a point to find the manager, tell them nicely what I was going to purchase, and then go to another store that did not have a sign.

There are very few of those signs anymore.

Common sense

In Colo there is "no tolerance" rule in school zones. It should be called "no common sense" rule. A girl got kicked out of a C/S highschool for having a steak knife in her car. She was useing it to open the hood of her old car. Another case, a young man in our little town gets suspended for good for coming to school with a . 22 in the gun rack. He comes from a ranching family and his truck wouldn't start, so he took his Dads, didn't even think about the varmit gun behind him. He had to finnish highschool + a year in another district.

Yet, the little gangbangers can hide anything and take it to school. If there are laws, there should be common sense involved, instead there is blind emotion and no gray areas. :D

I support being able to carry concealed weapons, but let's make sure we have a good screening process in effect when issuing permits.

BTW: You guys bring back alot of good memories of Colo. , I spent alot of summers as a youth tromping around the hills around Manitou. I'm 43 yrs. old (grew up in Calif. ) my grandparents still live in Manitou... . Grandpa was quite a fly fisherman in his day, and always had time to take his grandson!... . My mom went to Manitou Springs HS, my father St. Mary's in COSprings. Have all kind of relatives back there still man has that area grown!

Church Parking Lot

It looks like some members of this church want to tell other members how to live and what property they may own. It would be a cold day in **** when a church elder or minister would tell me when I could possess a firearm . I would probably make a legal issue of it by informing them that I planned to carry said firearm into the church on any Sunday that the Lord moved me to do it . Even if they removed me from the membership rolls, they could not keep me from attending a public service .

I wonder if that church could force me to do a strip search every Sunday?

The best response to this nonsense is to inform the church at the district or national level that you will continue to keep giving your financial support only when they trust your judgement with a firearm. Until that time arrives , you will attempt to counter their propaganda by giving the church TWO CENTS a week and giving the rest to the [NRA,GOA,take your pick]

BTW this church that is referenced is not Lutheran, is it? If it is , it will be time for me to put up or shut up.

People who drive Cummins are religious-- the sound the beast makes is BIBLICAL
