What your ICON's do late at night!!!!

Dan and his lovely wife Mandy had their first baby boy at 1:06 am today. Samuel Kenneth Koch (Cook) 7lb. 7oz & 20". Mom and Samuel are doing fine as is Dad. It sounds like it was a little exciting getting in to the hospital, but I'll let him tell that story if he wants.

Welcome to parenthood, let the grey hairs begin!!:-laf

Healthy looking baby. That Cummins hat looks like one of those ones that Russians wear because it's so big on his little head!

Thanks for all the congrats. So far all is going well for everybody other than mom being a little sore and tired from feeding him around the clock. I really feel sorry for her and have a new found respect for her and women in general.

The condensed hospital story was that I got a call at work at 11pm and got home by midnight and then off to the hospital by 12:40am and then Samuel was born at 1:06am. I had to lift her off the ground and into a wheel chair at the Emergency room doors. There wasn't enough time for a gown, they just yanked the pants and told her she was fully dilated and ready to push. It definitely went faster, way faster than what we had been told to expect.

After a week of fatherhood, I still haven't mastered the diaper change and I'd have to say this is an experience of a lifetime and a wonderful blessing.

Still looking for an infant sized Cummins hat:-laf ,

Dan
