Anybody ever use this oil? I sent in a new oil sample of this oil and here is what is said. Any feedback would be appreciated. I am not using it but an old friend has been using it for years. It is about $6 a quart. The first line is amsoil Ame 15w-40 and the second is the conlin 15w-40. Both unused.

I've heard about Conklin only vaguely, seems like one of the Unimog forum people uses or sells it. 3 things stand out to me in that analysis. First is that amount of calcium which is double that of most heavy duty engine oils. It also uses Moly and Boron which not all oils contain in their additive package. Chevron Delo and Valvoline premium blue are two conventional oils that use moly and boron as well. I don't think i would hesitate to use it if you have ready access. Is it a synthetic I assume?

Good oil. Conklin makes a whole line of products. My parents used to sell Conklin products back in the 80's. We had a '83 Oldsmobile Delta 88 that my father put Convoy in ever since new. When we sold the car it had around 250,000miles on it with 15,000 mile oil change intervals. Only things ever changed on the engine was a waterpump and a timing chain.
