CT TAX

We all can thank that #$%&*# Mark Ryan who continues to screw up our state's finances. Anyone know where I can buy a cheap pump? I have dbl 275 gal tanks in my basement.

hey you ct guys had i seasy . . ct was cheaper then ny for me at least . . here in ny i pay usually $1. 45 -$1. 55 a gallon for diesel... in ct it has been like $1. 35-$1. 45. . so i usauully have been filling there too if i can. . nj is best still $1. 25 a gallon ... . oh well still better to pay same price as gas but go longer on the same gallon as compared to gas and have more power any how. . later

Maybe we should all make weekly treks down to the New Jersey Turnpike where it's $1. 15 (and someone pumps it for you)

... or up to Maine where it was about $1. 33 and get fresh lobstah to boot (... where's the lobstah icon?)

City vs Interstate

Are you guys buying fuel in the city and that is why it's $1. 35 for a gallon of Diesel? I just saw the post about it being $1. 15 on the NJ turnpike. Seems like a little driving may save some money. The fuel prices in Dallas are around $1. 35 in town and $1. 19 on some interstate fueling stations. Why pay more?

cmckinney:

... I guess because it would be something like a two hour drive, through traffic that hell could not improve upon. I've been to Dallas, and this isn't it.

Imagine that every driver has learned everthing they know about traffic safety from a video game, after all, most of them have; that every driver has taken the tenet, "Cut Off Thy Neighbor" close to heart; and that it is each driver's personal goal to get there first, and it's just too damm bad if someone else has to die in the process. Put them all on highways that are in bad need of maintenance, are under said maintenance, that alternately expand and merge between two, three, or four lanes, and sprinkle liberally with toll booths. Put so many cars on the road that no one can go anywhere. Make sure everyone puts their horn to liberal use. It just isn't worth the . 15 per gallon that four hours of this would cost.

Now if we bought our own tank truck...
