Funny story......

needto find a tool help

Driving out to Colorado & Utah for a wedding in the end of August, coming back mid September. Anyone have a preference (besides geographically) for either route. I took I-70 out last year and ran into single lane closures for over 200 miles in Kansas(  ) Came back on I-80 but I ran into more traffic there. Cant figure out which way is better.

Any new construction to be worried about?

Thanx in advance

PS: RMTDR, you guys doing anything while Im out there ?

I just drove from Buffalo NY to Colorado Springs using I-70 two weeks ago. Smooth sailing. I avoided the Chicago area (I-80) because delays can be huge. The only construction areas of note were in Kansas. There were 6-8 of them, but only about 2 miles long each. There were other construction areas, but they didn't affect me at all.

Just to avoid Windy, it'd be worth taking I-84 over to I-81, down to the PA Pike, to I-70, then pick up I-74 by Indy back up to I-80 near the Quad Cities. This route also lets you avoid St. Louis, which can be messy. Also, I-80 across OH and IN is very nearly a dreadful bore.
