Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Connector tube thread pitch and diameter?

I'm going to change out the injectors this winter. I'd like to make a tool for removing the connector tubes. Does anybody know the thread size on the tube? I know I can simply pry them out, but I can make the tool easily if I know the correct thread. I'm not against prying, but only as a last resort.

The crossover tubes are only held in by the light pressure of the o-ring so they simply pop out with ease. You dont need a fancy expensive puller tool as a small screwdriver with a thin flat head works perfect. Just remove the injector lines and then reach in with the screwdriver tip and scooch the crossover tube out. You will NOT harm the threads. Also, as a heads up, dont pull everything apart at once but instead do one injector at a time. That way you keep all parts in their home location.

Check this https://www.genosgarage.com/category/tools/3 It's the one I used and it worked great. It's only 16.95 for just the puller or you can get an injector tool as well.

I found my tools here: http://www.tooltopia.com and bought them on ebay. The crossover puller is only
helpful on #5 & #6, the others are easily popped out with a small screwdriver.

The thread is 5/8" x 18. DAP sent me a nut with my injectors. Of course, you can't use a nut as the tubes are slightly recessed. So, I turned down about 3/4 of the nut to .75". That allowed the turned portion to extend into the recess and thread onto the tube. Then an easy twist with a screwdriver and they popped right out. So, if you have a buddy with a metal lathe, all you need is a 5/8-18 SAE nut and you're good to go.
