Moose,

I forget exactly what Piers does, but they claim a 200 degree drop. If I remember right they put in better bearings and machine out the compressor side to accept a diffrent wheel.

FJ,

There is a diffrence in the lower RPM's, it wakes up earlier, but not by any great leaps or bounds. It does make it better than stock, but it is hard to benchmark it since I have never owned diffrent pickup. I seem to get about 1mpg better, if I can keep my foot out of it.

i have an EZ in my 04. 5 and have been running on level 3 since day one. im not so sure there is any gas milage increases at that level b/c of the occasional stomping of the skinny pedal. definately get an EGT gauge b/c it gets hot quick. im just planning on a turbo upgrade at some point, AFE stage II and a turbo back 5" and ill be done with this truck.

I have a 03 so auto 4x4 with the afe 7, torque tube, stright 4". I run the ez on 5 and tow every weekend. I limit the egt to 1200 and have never had a problem and can still hold my speed up the grades.

Been running my EZ on level 4 for a long time, even with my bi-weekly trips to Okla and running back out here with a stack of trailers tied on, unless I'm pulling a hill at 75 MPH plus( at which time i usually come up on some slow moving RV or "real" big truck) my EGT's usually stay under 1350* pre turbo. Also, does anyone know if the EZ I have on my 03 will work on a 04. 5 truck, would like a buddy of mine to see first hand what a Cummins should really run like!!!! :-laf :p
