Wow Iflem congrats on those numbers. That is an interesting mod. I like it. Plus you still have your safety features intact and you would not get as big of MPH swings. With my throttle cable set at 60 on level ground I can hit 75 downhill and slow to 50 uphill. Your setup will be much more traffic friendly. Do you realize how close you are to that holy grail of 30 MPG!!!!!1

Of course, turning the button press from the steering wheel cruise control buttons into a rapid electronic pulse is absolute cake for a digital electronics designer (which is what I do to support my farming/ranching habit).
I've been meaning to get around to looking at those signals and designing a circuit to do the constant throttle thing. Probably wouldn't be too hard to provide an input from the tach to make it compensate for vacuum leakage too, of course, that's basically what the normal cruise does, only based on MPH, so that might defeat the whole purpose of this thing.
Unfortunately (for this project, not my dwindling bank account), I finally sold my house and am in the midst of moving to the new ranch, which has... nothing. No road, no water, no power, no house... #ad

Needless to say, I'm gonna be a tad busy for the next few months. My wife thinks winter in Idaho at 4000 ft. won't be much fun in a tent...

What does the plug look like. I still have my old 96 wireing harness all torn apart and in a box. Maybe the right plug is in there. I tossed the servo so don't have anything to match it to.

There are no bugs, I never got around to finishing because I moved. The only thing I was lacking was the servo electrical connecter, didn't know Larry had one because I was off line for a month at that time, just found out. Ran it with a Mickey Mouse setup, wires though the window, worked great. All that is required is a restriction in the servo vacuum line, two momentary contact switches and some wire. I'm not sure if you can do it without losing your regular cruise control because I didn't want to feed power back towards the PCM without knowing what may happen, though a diode would solve that problem. Anyways that's where I'm at on that project.

I found that all that was needed was the restriction in the servo vacuum line to achive what I was looking for. It made the cruise less sensitive by slowing it down, the throttle is no longer constantly moving in cruise but the mph varies 4-5 depending on the grade. Gained 2-3 mpg while driving in cruise with a 10¢ modification.

Since the '02's don't have the servo anymore I'm told, I guess this doesn't work.

Does anyone know if the CC is programable in the PCM. Dodge tells me no. I'm thinking it might be possible. Just because Dodge doesn't spell out a procedure for it, doesn't mean it's impossible. I was hoping it would be like a process controller with proportional, integral and derivative constants to adjust or at least P&I. Craig

Is Cruise Adjustable in 24 V PCM ?

I'm not sure about the DC product. I know that you can adjust the droop in the other Cummins product lines end effect is much like what illflem has done with his restriction. The tighter the droop the poorer the mileage, but the better the "feel".

I guess it will boil down to whether the particular ECM calibration supports the adjustment. If you have been reading the thread on CHEAP HIGH IDLE, it sounds like it also is dependent on the calibration code, as some members say the PTO works and others can't even find the feature.

On the 6. 7 the High Idle is part of the package, BUT, not enabled. The High Idle includes the 3 Cyl cold idle feature. My Service Manager demonstrated it to me yesterday. As he says he does not believe in charging for things like this, as opposed to some dealers. The ECM/PCM controls/governs all running functions, as any good fly by wire system.
