Can anyone recommend a good clutch installer in Northern California?

My new 2001. 8 manual says to tap Accel to increase MPH by 2. Tap Coast to decrease MPH by 1.

Is this what Powder means, only with RPM and not MPH?

What benifit is RPM control over MPH control?

Thanks,
Pat

Benifits to rpm vs speed contol is MPG!
The cruise control constantly increases and decreases rpm to keep the speed constant,
this uses more fuel. A rpm controler will keep engine speed constant increasing mpg, while speed may vary with road conditions.

Uh Kinda shovel. What you want is constant throttle which will allow rpms and speed to vary and you just give the same gas and let god decide how fast you go. I dont have cruise on my vehicle Powder but if I did I would be interested. I have gotten so used to my Cave Man style CT wire that i dont know if I could ever trust electronics again anyway #ad

Ballpark cost on a totaly manual one made out of couple of feet of aircraft cable and a turnbuckle is about 8 Bucks. Works great!

I'm Back! Sorry about that I had to make a quick trip to South Carolina. I'm finally getting back to work on it. Still trying to find a supplier for a male and female version of the original wiring harness. One thing I noticed on mine during the trip was about every 50-100 miles I would lose a couple MPH and have to tap it back up. I don't know if there is a vacuum leak or if it will just bleed down that much. It wasn't that often I could drive a 100 miles without some wingnut cutting me off or something anyway #ad

I am hoping when all is said and done my box will cost no more than the existing "idle only" box, and hopefully less.

Jerry, I gotta have one of these things! I'd love to be a "test mule," even without the right plugs to make it a simple installation. Keep me posted! #ad
