Thanks, TDR Staff

Conquest TSI...

Eric Holder, Enemy of the 2nd Amendment, set to be confirmed as Attorney General. Contact your Senators NOW, Request that they do NOT Confirm him!!! GregH

I have to agree with Moe.

It's a dem love fest in DC and none of Obama's picks are going to be turned down. Geither was confirmed for treasury sec after all. A guy that has a hard time paying his taxes. Don't forget Hillary she is now Sec of State, and if her and Bill's foreign dealings aren't a conflict of interest.

May Be true, but let'em know that you dont approve! I'll bet that the elections in 2 years`will clean house, just like it did in Clintons 2nd year of his first term! GregH

do you know that the $500 to $1,000 checks that are going to be spent from the stimulus bill are also going to be paid to illegal aliens!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep up the pressure by calling your senators. I called both of mine today on this issue. Their staff took my message and relayed it to the senators. Each call took about 30 seconds, but if enough of us do it, we can swing the vote in our favor. My wife, a friend, and I also met with our Congressman this past weekend to discuss our concerns with all of the firearms issues that might come up in the near future. They may not agree with you, but they do listen to what you say. Sometimes you can say something that might change their minds. You never know.

Holder will only get confirmed if enough of us who are upset about it choose not to do anything about it. CALL YOUR SENATORS NOW!! Here is the link to the U. S. Senate's site. In the upper right hand corner there is a box for "Find your Senators. " Fill it in and the contact info comes up on the next page. Call, don't email. It will take too much time for them to process an email. CAll NOW!!

U. S. Senate

Also pass it on to your friends. If we had the internet back in '94, the ban wouldn't have happened. We could have rallied the troops to get the Congress to vote the other way. The ban passed with only 2 votes difference then. If some more people had called their reps/sens, it would have made a difference. It's too easy not to.

i thought tdr was about dodge trucks. why doun't you all chill. god made all pepole. and if you would try some compassion. the world would be better place!!!!!!

Oh, please look at the forum name. It is "GUNS, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting". I would say the subject of someone who might become Attorney General and is anti-gun fits right in. And actually, TDR is more about Cummins engines. Most of them happen to be in Dodge trucks.

All of that aside, welcome aboard.

What does me having compassion for Eric Holder have to do with anything? I don't want to kiss him, I want to object to him being the new AG. If all people simply sit back and "chill" as you propose, we wouldn't have a government "of the people, by the people and for the people. " We would all be preprogrammed robots following whatever the government told us to. Our society is set up for just the opposite. The government is supposed to follow what the people tell it to. You, sir, are entitled to your opinion, but it is a dangerous one. Some day there will be a topic near and dear to your heart and you will feel the same way we do.

Sir, This is a zone that is about shared interests. If you do not wish to participate and have no interest you can opt out. Respectfully, GregH

PS. YES GOD made all people! However we are living in a fallen world. Compassion, is a great attribute, but, does not make us a door mat to bad politics and selling out our Nation to Globalist Social engineers.

yes about guns ok about politics no

Agreed. Political discussion doesn't belong in here.

However, reasoned and dispassionate discourse about governance that directly relates to the hobbies and passions discussed in this forum is quite acceptable. It is our right to inform ourselves about potential and actual governance that may or does affect our hobbies and passions either favorably or adversely.

After all, most governing does not involve politics, and most politicking does not involve governance; the two are inversely proportional.

On this point, I do not believe you can separate the politics from the guns. This same discussion could be held on the "Politics" forum, but since it will most likely garner more attention here, it is in the correct place, IMHO. If these people get their way, the forum will be titled "Remember when we had guns?"

We are a government of the people---that's all, not the special interest, socialist, anti-american, tree huggers and PETA.

Yes, we are God's people, but he gives us sense to stand up for what is right and combat evil---

Please take notice---This administration will strip away our rights -

if we let them. Let's take back our(not their) government!!!!

JEEZE - how can you possibly separate politics from guns, when it's the POLITICIANS who are legislating gun control and seizure?

Ask the Australians. .

See what the UK thinks of governmental gun control:

YouTube - The British called - They want their guns back!

And WE, here in the USA, are about to join both of those, as we at a dead run are headed (herded?) down the exact same path!#@$%!

Politicians and criminals both want gun control for the same reason - they don't like victims who can shoot back! ;)

.

Gents,

As a Civil Servant serving this country for 8+ yrs, and not really having a place to place his mind, I must tell you one thing. I am pro Gun. But forget my stance, the more important thing is this..... the day that one stops fighting for individual rights of the people, the rights of the people WILL be infringed... as said by our former constituent Ben Franklin. Why must we fight over this trivial thing? Because we dont know and are afraid to see what might be. The most dangerous person is the scared person. And when someone, who has a specific right for XXX number of years, get that particular right questioned, AUTOMATICALLY, that individual starts second guessing and arguing over what he or she believes in. My challenge is, why give up something our grandfathers, fathers and us have believed in and; (for some us) died for?

Regards,

John

So folks, we've been talking about getting the gov't to listen to us. Show of hands... How many of you have been talking to them? Who's actually called their senators? I think it's great to have these discussions here. No better way to have free speech and public discourse than to talk about it in ways like this, but simply complaining to one another doesn't get the job done. If we don't call our people in D. C. then we've failed ourselves. It's really easy. Git-R-Done!

I post on two web sites. I also phoned Senators Udall and Bennet, Colorado, as well as my 2nd District Representative, Polis. Bennet just replaced Salazar in the Senate. He presently has no e-mail . Messages were sent via e-mail on this and the other thread, to Udall and Polis. Both local offices and Washington numbers were contacted, where available, on all issues that I am aware of, ASAP. This is not a tea party for geriatrics, folks. This is the beginning of a very difficult battle. Its the grass Roots Folks against trained and highly skilled politico's that want to destroy our Constitution, not just the 2nd Amendment. This is not a game! GregH

Well said! My Senators heard from me Thursday morning and my Rep met me in person last Saturday. I had a friend of mine call, too. I'm considering going to my local gun store and asking if it's ok to put a petition on the counter for all to sign, but haven't had time yet.
