Like we've said, we're definitely into having some fun. Let us hear from you. Do you have a great (or even just a so-so) idea for having some fun? If so, we'll turn it into a contest.

Post (or email) your ideas.

We've got several already up our sleeves, but we're pacing ourselves.

Let us hear your ideas.

How about a picture of the trucks with tires off the ground. I don't care how you do it, but I guess there should be a safety clause or something. It could be one tire, two, three, four, or even six tires, no matter. Votes are cast for the best picture. Most votes wins something, like a TDR cover!

TDRamin:

I like this, have some fun idea you have here.
It put a smile on my face.
My first thought is that you folks are suffering from Cabin Fever.
Lord knows we need some real fun. Takes our mind away from all the ugly things in the news.

My fun is watching the windows roll up in the next vehicle so they can talk on the cell phone at the light.
Being able to load 8' of whatever in the bed and close the tail gate at HD while the tree hugger is trying to tie whatever to the roof of their compact car.

Pictures of duallies going through drive thru's:, banks, McDonnalds, drug stores, etc

The winner is the one that has both front wheels down on the roadway, both rear wheels up on the concrete curb and the ATM down about where the bottom of the door frame is, with the driver making a transaction by leaning out the door with his/he waist about where the bottom sill of the door window is. The bank sign that says "NO Pedestrian Walk Ups" has to be visable.

Been there,

Or some such rediculous contortion.

What about something like, "Your best photos of trucks spotted in compromising positions?" Is that what you had in mind?

Sure that will work

How about the best/worst mileage? Contest could run for a month and require a minimum of miles traveled. Contestants would submit odomoeter readings, and fuel usage. Of course it would have to be honor system, so a modest prize would be in order.

Or, best/worst traffic infraction. We all spend a lot of time running the highways. I can't be the only guy getting ticketed... . sometimes for really lame reasons.

How about this. Smoke out the biggest area (park, parking lot, ricer/import show, front door of Walmart... ) whether it be with black smoke or tire shreddin smoke! Hows that? Gotta post pics though.

Haha. I was thinking about something like that... only because my boyfriend (Cummins Thunder) got arrested and put in jail overnight for doing a burnout in the McDonalds drive thru. The Dually got impounded and everything. Sucked.

After I sold my dually, the ladies at the local bank told me that they enjoyed watching me navigate it thru the drive up. ;)

I had about an inch on either side till it hit the curb.

Just to **** them off a time or two I tried to get all the tires up on the curb at the same time. Never got them all up at the same time, generally the right front tire was on the ground, rest were up on the curb. Almost took out the ATM a time or two.

Reason I did this was I parked the truck because I knew it would not fit and walked up to the window, "I'm sorry sir you can not walk up to the dirve through window, you have to be in your vehicle at the ATM drive through".

Ok, that sounds like a challenge , never got all tires up on the curb at the same time, 5 but not 6. I did leave tire scuff marks ON the ATM a time or two, thought that was cute :D

I like rweis' idea the best so far :)

My suggestion is for pic of the dirtiest, muddiest or most filthy truck.

I think I can win that one!
My 1996: Has not been washed since 1998, bought new in 96
My 2003: washed twice since I have owned it (within the first year) bought new in 03
My 2005 Liberty: washed once, a couple months after I bought it in 2007.
If I knew how to post a pic, I have a pic of my '96 when going to the local mud bog. I did have to spray it off afterwards and the truck is now the cleanest it has been in years.

I also like to see trucks WORKING! How about something for heaviest load hauled?
I recently pulled just over 8,000 pounds, including trailer, with my Liberty. It has excellent brakes on both axles, so stopping was no problem. I hauled two scissor lifts, weighing 3,750 pounds each from Atlanta and cruised at a steady 65 mph easily. The trailer weighs around 800 pounds, I believe. I have pulled as much as 20,000 pounds on my 10-ton gooseneck with my '03 and '96. (again, with excellent brakes on the trailer)

Great Ideas!

Great ideas. Now that the calendar contest has wrapped up, I'll see what I can get going.

Thanks.

My OTDD (Other Than Dodge Diesel) is a Mazda Miata, ATM's aren't made for them either. At least I can pull up in the lane, get out and get my money and be on my way. About drive-thru's they don't see the Miata below the window level, I have to press the button and they still don't see me.
