Hi All, this is a clip from a place that has alternators, anyone had any experience with either the alternator or the internet retailer? Don't want to buy a pig in a poke, or from the piggy either.

They are designed to be used in vehicles that are "Daily Drivers". They come with a 1yr. warranty against parts and labor (no mileage, months, or hours, strictly 1 yr. period). Hope this helps! I am heading out for the night, but I will be back in on Monday morning bright and early, if you want to order this bad boy. Have a great weekend!!

Best Regards,

Josh Reed

I have a 200 amp direct bolt-on replacement for your application. This unit is a Denso, part # 67054, and is priced at $649.

Hi Josh, is this alt rated for continuous service? What's the warranty on the alternator? Mileage? Months? or Hours?

pa performance

there a guy in PA that does customer alternators for the 5. 0. .

He can build you anything you what at any rpm range and output.

Ask for Rick at www.paperformance.com He's the man and will treat you right. And he gives a life time warranty

master, had my rear end worked on around a month ago. Admittedly, my posterior is in need of service call.

Cheers,

Yooper, I heard from Rick today, no go. . .

Unfortunately the alternators used by Dodge in the truck line are all Nippondenso and Bosch made and there are really no known reliable upgrades for them. If you had a Ford or GM we may have some options, but in this case we are not going to be able to help. Thanks for your inquiry.

Rick

I have 220 amp

hey OTRPU,

I have an Ohio generator alt that is rated at 220 amps peak with a one year warrenty. The nice thing is that I ordered it with a smaller pulley on it so I get more amp output at lower rpm, seeing how our trucks are running the same alt as the gassers. I run a full audio system and a plow and it works like a champ. I can check the price but I remember it being around $500.
