2wd to 4wd?

Who would like a rebuilt 3.9bta?

I am trying to get a Cummins conversion done on a 95 Ford F350 crew cab 4x4. Are there any shops in the western US that do these routinely? Preferably in Oregon, Washington or Northern California????

I found Reliable Diesel in Mesa in my searches... . anyone have any expereinces to share and a ballpark in labor they charge for the project? Do they have a website?

Thanks.

Jimbo

If you want to make the trip to Montana, I suggest you get in touch with Kenny Kraus. He has been repowering trucks for over 15 years. He has had converted several dozen trucks now, averaging 3 a month in the summer months in addition to his regular customizing jobs.

Myself, along with alot of Kenny's friendsand customers have real bad feelings towards the fordcummins guy in Kalispell area. He has been attempting to label himself as the Montanan" and has no right to. He did not even exist up until about two years ago.

Give Kenny a call (Autoworld) at 406 727 8915 .

Typial Repower is around $10,000. 00 for most GM and Ford trucks. Roughly 60% is parts, unless you can your own motor etc. They take over 100 hours easily.

Great Falls, Montana is 13. 5 hours from Portland OR. I make the trip at least once a month in the summer time.

I hope to do another one for my Step Brother but I will have to find a different supplier. I'm more then dissapointed in fordcummins quality and customer service. I do have to add that the transmission adapter plate is first class but they come out of a Portland Or machine shop.
