Convert a Dodge Raider (mitsu) to Diesel?

I don't know if this post belongs here, but here goes. I got a guy on the job with a MINT '89 Dodge Raider (Mitsu Montero) but he thinks he blew another 2. 6 head. He said it's time for it to go. I tried to convince him to do a Mitsu diesel conversion using parts from a mighty max, I think they came in Diesels. Maybe a 4BT will go in there. Anyway, He has no interest. I think this would be a nice project. The truck is too nice. Anyone ever seen anything like this done?

I just got back from a short trip to Birminham,

UK. I saw several Mitsubishi Montero 2 doors

with decals that said Turbo Intercooled. . they

were just like the Dodge Raiders but the sheet

metal was more rounded.
