Convertable Car Hauler?

To you guys who haul cars or used to, I would like to ask a question. Would it be more profitable to run a 40 or 50 foot flat deck and use a ramp system for auto transport backhauls. This system collapses and stores when you would want to use your step deck and sets up with log chains to haul at least one extra car than you normally could on your trailer.



Any experienced thoughts on this ? The RV thing being what it is, one way freight, I was looking for backhaul ideas.

I used to use a lighter "generic" version of this:

Tarasport makes lighter trailers but I think they're still too heavy for most one tons. Anyway, they're neat because you can go from car hauling to freight with very little reconfiguration.
