Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Converted from auto to manual and now no cruise

I just converted my auto to a manual and all went very well but after I was done and headed out on the freeway for a test run I noticed that I had no cruise control. I still have both the ecm and pcm from the auto, would one of them have something to do with the lack of cruise or is it in the wiring? I know that some are controlled electronically and others are not, my truck is a 2001 and am not sure which I have. Any help is very much appreciated, thanks Andrew.

Thanks I have spent hours looking for a thread that has some answers. I will try this and hope it works because the last time I tried i thought i was going to light my truck on fire from all of the sparks due to some experimenting. Once again thanks, Andrew.
