I have a 1990 w350 4x4 I know that I have to replace the rear axle housing etc. But what do I have to do to use the off set rims on the front? Is it just a matter of bolting on the oem spacer and will it bolt on to my existing hub? I found some casting numbers on my hub, they are.

Let me know if you can shed any light on this. Thanks Mark

I thought all 350's were dual rear wheels? Did they make a srw 350?

You might not have to change the rear housing. I have a 92 250 with the dana 70. It uses the same big bud 6 1/4 drum as my 75 dana 70 that I pulled from a 350 dually to put in my conversion(84 crew cab). You might be able to just buy the hubs and drums from a 350 and convert yours. I have not got to the front stuff yet. If you are not going to do this for awhile, e-mail and I will tell you what I have to do to the front. Mark

Yes They did make a w350 single rear wheel 4x4. It has a 8700 lb gvw. The rear axle is narrower then the dual rear model. The rear brakes are narrower and the wheel studs are smaller in dia. My main Question is whether the factory spacers for the front hubs will just bolt on to my existing hubs or will the hubs have to be changed? The offset on my rotors are 1 1/2 inches and the bolt pattern is 6 1/2 inches by 1/2 or 9/16 stud dia. Thanks Mark

There are aftermarket kits you can buy that allow you to bolt on dually on a non dual rear end. as for the front there is a OEM spacer used, you may try checking with Dodge to see what they cost, I suggest you sit down when they give you the price.

I have changed my truck to the dual wheels type wheels, but mine is a 2 wheel drive. The advice I have will be for the rear axle. The rear axle is too narrow for the dual wheels, the tires comes in contact with the springs. I replaced rear axle with one from a 1997 Dodge 3500. I thought the strength of the spacers would be questionable for the rear, but for the front they should be ok

I have a friend that has a dodge with the aftermarket spacers to convert a single to the dually style. He has a dump box on his truck and carries alot of weight at times. The only problem that he has had is that the spacer bolts have loosened up over time.
I don't want to go that way because I need to increase my gvw and adding one of these kits won't do that. Thanks Mark
