M-37 get a 4BTA

Hey'

I was wondering what it would roughly cost and how hard would it be to put my 97 12v 180 pump engine into a 97 F250 power stroke auto 4x4? Is FordCummins.com only company that offers parts? I found this particular truck with 112000 miles for a fair price of 8900. 00 and thinking I could get for 8000 or 8500. Would it be worth the effort or just buy the 98 RAM2500 12V 5spd Q/C I am looking at? All you input and opinions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Randy

I think if I were doing a repower on a Ford 4x4, I'd find an F350 because it will have a Dana 60 up front instead of the Twin Traction Beam. There may be some 250s with straight axles, but I would think they were special order and few and far between. Just my thoughts.
