I have a 2005 3/4 ton ctd slt model. Does anyone know if i can switch my single climate control for heat and a/c to a dual climate control model. None of the dealerships can give me a straight answer. One said i need to change out the entire heater box. Another said its not possible because it has to do with the computer. I mean is it just as simple as changing out the control panel for it or is it really not possible for my truck.

I'm pretty sure you will have to change out the HVAC box to get the dual system along with the control panel, as far as a difference in computer program goes for single or dual systems operations I don't know.

While I really like the concept of dual controls, Dodge's design is so 1976 - and looks like it, too (even on the 2006 model). Dodge should buy any Honda that has dual modes (or three modes on some Odyessey minivans) and simply copy it. The Honda system performs so nicely (including self diagnostic modes) and looks modern, too. And while they're at it, Dodge should learn the concept of climate control (vs. the old-school heating/cooling system on our trucks) for their $40k+ trucks (that you can get on an Accord for half that price).

I think Tomeygun or was it Matt400 or Ryan... (it's early) well somebody looked into this and said that because of the Hvac box under the dash has to come out and changed it would be so time consuming that it was not worth the effort.
