Every time I try and look for a clean xcab 4x4 5 sp SRW truck, they are all more than a few grand more than an equivalent dually, duallys seem much more common also. I have a donor truck I can get SRW axles out of. As far as the bed, can I just take the flares off or are the bed sides different? Is there anything else I'm missing besides also needing wheels? Oh, and if anyone has a clean SRW CC 4x4 5 sp they're thinking of getting rid of let me know. Thanks-Nick
 
Bedsides are completely different. Next time you get a chance, look and see how far the flare comes up to the body line at the top of the bedside. It is all cut out behind there.



As for the front axle, you might be able to just unbolt the spacers from the rotors. I've heard you can do this but have no actual experience with it.
 
1st gen trucks do not run a spacer on the front axle for tire spacing. The hub are different between a SWR and a dually.



The 2nd gen's is when they started the spacer setup.
