Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Converting from ECM controlled CC to vacuum controlled on 01.5?

Doing further investigation on the 12v swap into my 01, and I'm thinking that just maybe it would be possible to convert the existing ECM controlled cruise control to vacuum controlled. It would seem to me that it would be necessary to change the ECM and/or the PCM to the earlier version in order for this to work, besides getting all the appropriate hardware/parts to complete the vacuum controlled cc.



Anyone have any info or thoughts on this?
