I have a '96 CTD with vacuum assist brakes. I'm sick of running out of vacuum and leaks in the system. I suspect the booster may be bad so I just purchased a new hydroboost unit that is for a '97. I know I'll need to do a little replumbing. I'm going to need the 2 high pressure hoses and a piece of return hose and a "T" fitting. Does anyone have part numbers for these high pressure hoses and a recommendation of where to buy them and not pay the dealers outrageous prices? I called Hydratech and he won't sell just the hoses. Thanks for any and all help or advice. Jim

you checked at NAPA? On your plumbing I don't see were you're going to be putting a "T" in the system? You should have the pressure line from the PS pump to the hydroboost, pressure line from hydroboost to steering box, and a return line from both hydroboost and steering box to PS pump. You may need to get a new reservoir for your PS pump or is that were you're looking to put the "T" in? The later trucks have two return ports in the reservoir.

Also now would be a good time to pull the vacuum pump/PS pump and change the seal and also clean the screen out in the PS pump.

The "T" is to return the fluid from the hydroboost back to the PS pump along with the return from the power steering. I only have one return port on mine. I have already replaced the seal and cleaned the screen 2 months ago. Hydrotech said all they do with the single port pumps is install a t fitting.
