Is there some kind of converter that you can put on your goose neck hitch (hide a ball) so you can pull a 5th wheel RV? If so where can you get one and how much are they?

Thanks Dennis

The Milam hitch is one of many which will allow you to adapt the 5th wheel hitch to a gooseneck. The manufactures of the 5th wheel units do not recommend going this route as it puts increased stress on the sturcture, frame etc.

I researched this adapter and opted to go the B&W Companion hitch route which allows you to remove the 5vr hitch in two sections and have the ball hitch or a flat bed surface.

Thanks alot guys

This is just what I was looking for. I knew I could count on this site!!!

Thanks again

If you are talking about an adaptor for a fiver to tow it with a goose neck ball, be carefull. I (and some others I have heard about) found that that can really damage the structure of some fivers. It sure did mine!!!

The "turnover ball" system looks like it would not have the same effect, but I have not tried it. I used the Cody hitch, and within a couple thousand miles, I was pulling the kingpin right out of my fiver. Some way it puts much more stress on the junction of the king pin box and the frame of the fiver.
