How do i convince Dodge that my Converter needs replacement. When towing at just before the shift point 3-4,4-3 and sometimes 2-3 when torque/boost is high and RPM 15-1800 I get a shudder like the clutch is slipping. OFcourse this is only while I'm towing my 13000lb 5th wheel which i can't take to the dealers lot.

I still have 1 1/2 years on my powertrain warranty and If i can get them to replace it I will.

Otherwise I will have to bite the bullet and spring for a new converter, etc. Which is a problem as I have commiter for a few things for my upcoming 50th anniversary.

take some long week-end drives pulling the fifth wheel, you'll get your new converter from Dodge when your current quits altogehter, but even with a new one you won't be much better off. Tell the Mrs that for you're 50th you'd like a triple disk converter from Goerend Brothers and you'll never have to worry about converter problems again. If you keep driving with a slipping converter you'll need a new transmission soon as well..... don't ask me how I know this... ... .
