I'm pretty sure they are not for our trucks. Perhaps not even the 2nd Gen 12 valves. The only ones I know with those have the 24 valve engines.

Get a high end car alarm, like viper or code alarm. They will install in your trucks as well as mine. I put a code alarm ca-670 in mine when I wanted a cool down timer. Works well and got a remote start as well.

I have one that I bought just for our truck. I will have to look up were I got it. It will allow you to cool down the truck 2 minute 4 minute and 6 minutes. After you have picked how many minutes you want the truck to cool down you press the e-brake and press a little red button. Turn the truck off and it keeps runnig till it hits the time you selected.

Your steering locks and if anyone gets in the truck to drive off the second they pull the e-brake release the truck shut off.

until what egt's do you guys shut down at? i shut her down at 450 deg's. anything lower and im waiting half an hour.

OKish- I shut-er down at 300, max 350. 450 seems kinda high to me , but i have no real idea whats too high to shut down at. Mine hits 300 within 5 min of stopping no matter what.

hah, i dunno whats wrong with my truck, my truck cant even get that low, not possible, i have seen 400 before just when i first started it up.

my truck gose down to 300 easy its a 93 w250 i just want a timer on it cause i haul with it so if u know where to find one let me know thanks

My 92 will take a long time to reach 300 even if it ain't hot outside. Long time. I leave the wife inside and watch the EGT untill it's cool enough to shut-off.
