Driving down I-25 toward Co. Springs, I see a motorcycle sitting sideways on the bed of a Freightliner. I take a closer look and it is sitting in some kind of rigging, not just a "drive up a ramp" and strap it down thing, but a rail to fit the tires, and a hydraulic system designed to lift the bike up and as it unfolds it lowers the bike onto the ground. The truck was also all set up with a hauler bed and 5th wheel hitch.
Pretty neat. This link, to Jeff Kelderman's personal Dodge is what I am talking about, but imagine the deck just big enough for a motorcycle, and the bike loads onto the bed perpendicular to the truck, and tucked between the cab and the hauler bed.
