Cool Hose From "Diesel Power Products"

Car_nut57, when will the CBH be available? I ordered and paid for one through nwtruckworks.com last month, but they are telling me it is still on backorder.

It's a shame that I didn't get an answer to this question. Nwtruckworks.com finally let me know that it would be at least several more weeks to get a cool hose. I asked them to refund my money so I could go with another intake. I really liked the cool hose concept, but just couldn't buy one despite my best efforts. That's just bad business.

I apologize to everyone waiting for the Cool Blue Hoses, we have had a supply problem which took much longer than anticipated to resolve. Finally the Cools Hoses are coming in and we will start filling back orders this next week. Nothing we could do about the supply and I under stand if you could not wait any longer for the CBH.

Question though, seems awfully squishy. Won't get sucked flat during WOT???

You got the new design that eliminates the internal support rings we used to use. The new hose is 6 layers of reinforcement rather than the 4 layers in the previous version, it also has a coil of SS wire embedded in the side wall. It should work just fine at WOT, but if you have any concerns or problems, please let me know and I will be happy to take care it.

I can only tell you about my old style one - In the dyno with 55psi output on the turbo, it showed no signs of sucking in itself

Thanks Tommy, and Car 57 (sorry, your handle reminds me of the old TV series "CAR 54") anyway, calling Car 57; how does the older version that Tomeygun has differ from the new one I got, I mean is it as strong?

And I noticed that there was no black plastic thingy to place at the end of the intake hose at the lower leading edge of the fender liner as shown in the picts. Does it need one? When I do the install, I'm planning on removing the noise ring. Any issues there?
