Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) coolant bottle removable

Help Please!!! I am in the process of changing the coolant in my truck for the first atime can't seem to get the colant overflow bottle off in order to clean it and replace the existing coolant in it.

Would appreciate any help... Thanks

There is a raised "button" that drops into a cutout on the shroud,just slip a thin wedge in between the shroud and bottle near the button and a sharp tug will do it.

I don't know what year yours is, but on an '01 all you have to do is pull straight up... then towards the cab.

Bob 4X4 has it correct. I got my coolant overflow off easy, but had a heck of a time with the washer fluid bottle. I Cussed it for awhile before my wife saw the buttons. Just slid a thin screwdriver in by the buttons, then pull up on the bottle.
