coolant bypass hose???????? buy at dealer or where???? please help

I want to replace that little hose by the turbo, that everyone has a leaking problem with... . went to cumming and sell that hose , but no other hoses..... so, do i have to go to dealer to get it... and do you change the clamps with the new hose???? I know the new clamps you buy now are made in china... not like they used to be... thanks..... also want to change out the coolant lines to the left of head, that seem to go to the heater core... . are those often changed out?????? thanks for any info Andre

well i found the link that mike put up on this issue... . next question, does anyone change those coolant lines that go into the heater core on the left of the cylinder head that go into the fire wall... that is 2 lines that do this... . thanks andre

As far as I know those heater hoses don't bother. Not saying you can't do them for prevention's sake but the one by the Turbo would have fine if Cummins had used the correct clamp in the first place.

thanks mike... that's what i was thinking, now going to Cummins to get the hose and the tension clamps for the little bypass hose.....

ordered the bypass hose and proper clamps... almost 2 weeks to order... they say on the 21st... . what the hell..... dealer had it, but it was 2xs the cost..... so i will be ready to change everything once i get this part... . going to start to run distilled water in my truck for a few days... .
