I've never heard from someone changing water pump and t-stat every 30k Miles....

Dealer changed my t-stat (under warranty) for good measure at about 50k. I wasn't having trouble with it, but he said that is about the life expectancy of the t-stats, so he just switched it out quick.

Money maker for the dealer!

Like I stated about the water pump, I am on the original T-stat at 133,000 miles. The local garage that I use to service my truck, believes in it is not broke don't bother to create another issue.

At the 10 year mark when I had the coolant change I ask if they thought I should replace all of the hoses in the cooling system! He stated NO why wasted the money the service station would check them and let me know if they needed replacing. The service garage stated they were in excellent condition for 10 years old.

I trust them since all they have used for their flat bed tow vehicles are Ram 5500 trucks.

On a deleted truck I would say no. Emissions compliant trucks I wouldn’t do it. There’s so many parameters the ecm monitors it’s just not funny.

That I get. I am looking at new trucks and soon as I can find one I like within budget It will be staying stock. These newer trucks are just so capable the way they are there's no point in doing anything to them.

I heavily modded my 2012 after a few years of owning just because it left so much to be desired and my old '00 7.3l was more of an animal than it was so i fixed that.
