My rig is 3 years old, (see signature) with 45K miles on it. I got around to changing the coolant/anti freeze last weekend. got most of the old stuff out, then flushed real good, on the final drain before adding the new stuff, (texaco havalin extended life with 50% mix of distilled water), I noticed some yellow "gunk" coming out.
Has anyone seen this in their rigs? is this normal, or is there some other "thing" wrong???? replys appreciated.
I flushed my 2500 yesterday , 47,500 , and i had to pressurize the radiator to blow out sediment cauce my drain was clogged. Lots of crud no yellow gunk though.
Here is a question for you, what are you susposed to do with the old antifreeze??? I have to change mine soon and am still trying to figure that one out.
[ Please do not put it in the street drains like they do around here. It ends up in the river and eventually the ocean. Those salmon up there will put you on their list of boats to avoid.
