I have considered doing this, but decided it wasn't worth the extra complexity in the engine compartment. I know a lot of Ford guys use them, but their engines are also prone to cylinder liner pitting due to cavitation (don't quite understand the phenomenon myself). As far as I've read, our engines are not prone to this.



Having one certainly won't hurt anything! Let us know if you decide to do it...

They do install in the heater hoses, just T tap the feed in and feed out. The filter is basically a bypass filter. It will help get out any sand castings from manufacturing, debris, or scale and rust that builds up over time.
