Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Coolant Filters

Anyone running Fleetguard coolant filters?. Seems like a good idea with the slow release additive filter although we do not have liners but it is suppose to restore components of ES Compleat anti-freeze. How did you plumb it in?. I know all of our Cummins concrete mixers use the filters.

I ran these on all my Fords and my larger Cummins engine's in our larger trucks... . One evening I was teaching a HD Clutch Class to our local Cummins store..... we got to talking about it coolant filters and I asked him if I should put them on my Dodges... .



He smiled... . said he personally thought they were a waste of money on small engines... . but he reminded me to only use the correct antifreeze and distilled water if and when we needed to add... and to change the mix every 3 or 4 years... .



So my 00 F550 now has 400 K miles and has been changed once... and my 04 3500 at 230K miles will get its first change next fall... . they both tested good going into the fall... . and winter... and we saw no sediment on the top of the fins in the radiator...



Mind you... . I still use them on my large trucks.....
