I am at almost 59. 000 miles, and I want to do the coolant flush/change that I know is recommended. I went and bought the pre-mixed Fleetguard coolant from Cummins. They told me they have 2 kinds, one recommended for big engines with cilinder sleeves/liners, the other one was what I bought, and they said it was better for my engine(kinda pink in color).

I read somewhere how it is done, I can't find it. I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me out with this task, someone who has done it himself. Thanks.

In the other thread go down a couple of post and the one that Steve St Laurant has about his method of flushing etc is EXCELLANT. I used that one and it is a excellant step by step and WHY.

My suggestion would be to take it a step further and pull the radiator so you can actually clean the front of it. It doesn't take much more effort, and while the coolant is drained would be the time to do it. You can see how bad mine was in this thread. I also did another truck with 30k miles on it and it was almost as bad.

And with the radiator out the serp belt is really easy to change, too.

That's all part of my 24 month service routine.
