Pardon the pics. I can't get a shot of the problem spot exactly. I have coolant trickling down the front corner of the engine block next to the AC compressor. The leak is on the front of the engine not the side. The leak appears to be coming from behind the belt tensioner. There is something attached to the front of the engine with a gasket just behind the belt tensioner. I can barely see with a mirror what appears to be a leak.

I do not know what the item is that's attached to the engine or if even has coolant passages under it. It's possible the coolant could be trickling down from the bottom of the water pump. The water pump is tucked in so tightly you can't see the bottom of the pump.

My truck is deleted and it's way too much hassle to put the crap back on for a minor warranty repair. I'm going to call the Dodge service tech who knows my truck is missing some OEM parts and see if they will take a look at it as is. If not I'll just go else where and foot the bill.

My biggest question is what is the item attached to the engine with a gasket under the tensioner and does it have the ability to leak coolant. If it doesn't then it must be an unseen water pump leak.

On the Cummins Forum I got the same feedback. It very well may be that the shape of the cover of the front of the block is sending the trickle of coolant to the far left side of the engine instead of it dripping off under the area below the water pump. I'd be interested to hear if anyone with a small water pump leak has the coolant rear it's ugly head on the front corner of the block next to the AC compressor.

I had the same exact leak, it was the water pump. Was leaking internally and coming out the weep hole.

Mine would leak after I shut the truck off and it sat for a few minutes. It would leak until the engine was totally cooled off, then start all over the next time I drove it.
