Here are two pics that best show what I can only assume is coolant. You can see the build up around this stud. Thoughts?

Anyone have a recommendation for a service department in Dallas for warranty work?

Will this be an issue with a 500 mile round trip scheduled for Wednesday?

Sorry for the small pics.

that is a standard npt pipe plug. i believe it is a 3/8" female square socket. . try tightening it up using an extension and ratchet

Is there any noticeable drop in collant level?? Seems mine did this too but I never had to add any coolant. Maybe it just sealed itself up? I tend to just degrease these types of things and monitor. .

Mine has looked like that for over 50,000 miles now. Only time there was any coolant gone was when the freeze plug blew and the water pump went out last week.

you can just tighten them up are pull them out one by one and put new pipe dope on them and reinstall them. ONLY TAKE ONE AT A TIME OUT, if you pull more than one out at a time it will loose its vaccum and leak coolant

Thanks for all the replys fellas, I was considering pulling it and adding a sealer around the top thread and re-installing. Is there a specific torque load I should not exceed on this plug?
