2nd Gen 5-speed -- play in throttle, jerking when accelerating from stop

So it's not a captive screw then.

I don't recall it being very difficult to come completely out. I was able to get the bar out of mine with a magnet but was a lot easier to get to because the engine was out of the truck.

Well Sir, forewarned is forearmed. Thank you. That would make it easier to get at, but more work than Ol' Roadrunner is needing anymore <LOL>

And the beat goes on. I got my new heater from Geno's Thursday. I situated my truck for some shade this a.m and got under the hood. Then all of a sudden I spot it. I'm missing the lower head bolt at number two cylinder. Not just a headbolt, mind you, but one of those super sonic studs I put in maybe 15 years ago. Of course, I think I trashed the OEM bolts. Oy. Anyone know what the grade of those bolts are? I got the size from my parts book.
T.I.A.

Go to NAPA or Amazon and get a real head stud/bolt, they are not graded but engineered for exactly that engine and purpose.
I once bought a car where a mechanic replaced a header bolt with a simple screw, it lasted two weeks and then it broke off.

I was planning on heading there in the morning. With any luck that will fix the leak.
Actually, I might see if I can order it online and it will get delivered tomorrow. Where I live is extremely rural.
Thanks

Just replaced the EGR cooler and EGR valve in my 2016 6.4L Hemi. The beast has gradually become incontinent over the last couple weeks, belching out coolant when I stop, then overheating. When replacing the thermostat and sensor did not fix the problemo, I figured the only other thing that was logical was replacing the EGR cooler and valve. Did not see any extant leak when I extracted the original, but some of the hosing seemed fragile. We are 2 days later now, still have a dry nappie. Hope it works, cuz I am never turning a wrench on this thing again. My hands are all cut up--much of this stuff was difficult to get to, much less with tools! Proud of myself for the transplant, though.
