My truck sat for 2 weeks because I was on a trip. I drove it about 10 miles on Saturday, then Sunday morning I started it up and coolant started leaking. It was coming from what looks like a small freeze plug just below the exhaust manifold on the rear of the motor. The little plug looks like it is still there. It looks like I will have to tow it to the dealer. Anyone have this same problem? Any insight/advice will be appreciated. I am on another short trip (I am in the Air Forde and fly C-5's) and will be back Tuesday or Wednesday.

Thanks in advance!

Update

Just an update. The dealer replaced the little freeze plug. My 5 star dealer isn't the greatest in the world. I kept calling to see what the status was, and the gal on the other end acted like I was bugging her. Well, I was bugging her. I spent $30k plus on this beast. It was towed to the dealer and just sitting in their unsecure parking lot, waiting for them "to get to it. " You better believe I'm going to bug them about it. Especially when they don't know when they can get to it.

I tried to get them to at least tell me how long it would take once they did get to it, and if they even had the part. I told them exactly what the problem was, but a tech would still have to look at it. It turns out that they got to it late in the day, didn't have the part, and my truck will be sitting in their crummy lot overnight.

Well. I got it back today and all seems well, luckily.

Well. Just thought I would vent a little. I haven't been able to post for quite some time. My duties keep me extremely busy. Just to give you a little bit of an idea of what sort of days I have. In one day of that two-week trip I was on, I ate breakfast in Germany, lunch in Newfoundland, Canada, and dinner in Las Vegas, Nevada, only to go the other direction the next day and do it all over again.

Such is life. Later
