Anyone experience coolant loss from the reservoir? ..... I seem to have to add a quart everytime I change the oil to get it up to the proper level. No coolant is in the oil or telltail leaks on the ground, nor does the engine display charateristics of a cracked head/block..... any ideas?

Thx:Andy

Check around the water pump, block heater- pinkish residue is dried

coolant. My water pump gasket was bad from day one, the whole pump

replaced under warranty and no more seepage.

coolant loss

Mine leaked coolant from the area under the oil filter. I believe it is the block heater. Several have reported them not being screwed in tight. Mine had a white deposit down the side from that point. I bought a gallon of their antifreeze and a gallon of distilled water, and have put in about 1/3 of each, but it doesn't seem to be leaking any longer. At least the level remains between the minimum and maximum marks on the reservoir tank. Have never taken it to a dealer, so haven't had it checked..... If and when. . I will. .

Mine was leaking all over the air box from the connection between the overflow bottle's hose and the nipple next to the radiator cap. It's just a loose connection that allows a little bit of coolant to leak out between the nipple and the tube. Dealer clamped it and checked for other leaks (found none).

Seemed to contribute to clogging of the (stock) air filter, as well.

leak

Going to have to check mine for a leak around the airbox. I had noticed and been unable to figure out, a white deposit on the fins or ribs along the side of the airbox top nearest the fender. It always looks like something dried there, but is never moist. Sounds like that might be what it is on mine... Thanks... Gerry

Mine leaks,

It is going in on Tuesday, seems to be weeping from the water pump gasket.

There is dried pink coolant below on the block, pan, and sway bar.

Also check the 3/8 plugs on the right side of engine up top. That entire row of them are loose on some engines with the rear ones leaking the most.

I was installing the block heater cable on my truck this afternoon, and noticed a few drops of coolant on the lower radiator hose next to the lower connection. After further inspection I found coolant on the air box next to the overflow hose. The overflow hose is the culprit. I will put a clamp on it in the morning.
