I will be changing over to EVANS coolant the waterless stuff as my next project. I would like to try it on my dodge cummins before I use it in my cummins and cats in my semi's. The question I have is how many gallons do I buy? I can not find any answers to my questions in the search function. I will completely drain the system dry. radiator engine block, heater coils everything as best I can. thanks for your help I will be changing my serp belt and all radiator hoses whilst I do this mid winter bomb. A christmas gift from me to me. :D

I believe the correct quantity is 4 gallons. I changed mine this past summer.

This is true if you don't get it all out. First time I changed mine it only took 4gal to fill it back up, but flushing the heater lines will get almost all of it out. I usually place the heater on high before killing the engine then flush the system, the heater core will hold some of the old coolant.

todt061458,

Did you ever change over to the Evans waterless coolant. I am also close to changing out my coolant and am thinking of using the evans product. How has it been if you did? Any thoughts on it?

Thanks, Jeff
