Coolant Temp Range?

All, using the coolant temp guage, whats the normal range of operation? Mine runs just to the left of dead center (200) most of the time... . pushed it to 100mph on the freeway tonight (for about 10 seconds) and she seemed to climb to the right fairly quickly... . did'nt make it to the 3/4 mark but I would say maybe the 5/8ths point... . let off the gas and it returned to normal real quick... . Is this normal with the 05's? Would think she could hold 100 for quite a while without over heating... . was only at 2600rpm on the tac??



Only have 2200 miles... . maybe she needs more breakin time?

Mine runs just below the 200 mark normally also. I believe that they have 190* thermostat. So 190-195* would be normal. Mine will get past the 200 just a little when driven hard, but I have never seen it that far past center 200 mark. Guessing I would say mine has never been over 210* even when running at the track.

I have pulled my 33 1/2 fiver in 100 degree temp, at speeds of 65 to 70, AC on high, with the temp never going above 210.
