Can someone explain how the coolant temperature sensor actually works? Reason being is I'd like to put one in the fuel tank to run a circulatory pump to warm up 100% biofuel for winter use. Is the sensor a resistance type that is calculated by the PCM. Or is it a on/off switch for a set temperature. If so it should be easy to hook up via a relay to a 12 volt pump. From the engine coolant to the fuel tank and back.
