Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) coolant?

Gotta change my tstat. Good time to change the coolant as well. Any suggestions on what type?

I went with the Fleetguard Complete. Seems like it may be spelled different though.

Fleetgaurd is overkill for engines as it was originally designed for parent bore blocks. No harm will come from it. just spendy.



I recommend Zerex G05. Cheap and exceeds original manufactures specs.

I believe our engines are parent-bore as opposed to sleeve-bore are they not?

I recommend any (Heavy Duty) extended life coolant. Go to any Heavy duty dealerships and the parts people will help you find what you need. I am currently running Cat extended life coolant in my truck. It has the additives to stop cavitation and also protect aluminum. Kinda spendy but you get what you pay for with coolant.
