Cooler advise.

I tatered the charger on my 04 Dodge, gonna have to replace the intercooler. Figured aftermarket for sure. Anyone have advise on which brand? I tried BD but the unit came forklift damaged and now they have a huge backorder going on those units.

You know sometimes you can find a factory intercooler with the aluminum end tanks for about $300 on some truck forum classifed ads.



For instance here is one on CumminsForum posted a week ago for $250--might be sold already, but I bumped the thread to find out

I have decided that I did NOT want to trust a factory takeoff if I did not know the truck and the owner. One little scrap of turbo compressor in the cooler and all my overhaul work has to be redone. I just ordered a new Banks Technicooler kit. Thanks anyway.

I replaced the one on my 03 with one from Dura-Lite http://www.duralite.net/out of Calgary. Not sure if they make one for your year yet. You would have to call them and ask. ( see bottom of their web page for contact info ) They have the tanks joined to the body with silicone rubber grommets to not only seal but take all the vibration and pounding of the roads and come with a 7 year million mile warranty.
