Anybody tried one of the solar powered fans that fit into your window at the top, while parked, and draw outside air in to help keep truck cooler?

Presumably the fresh air source comes from the vents left open?

Do they work or another gimmick?

I recognize that if someone wants into your truck, they will get in, one way or another, but was wondering if this would help keep it cooler, and minimize rain getting in?

I have noticed a big difference with a foil sunshade in the window. They have been using them for years to protect aircraft avionics, so they should work for us, too. I see almost 20* difference with it up. The ones from Walmart work just fine.

We have one we leave on the van when we park it in the driveway and leave with the trailer. Checked it sitting inside and it seems to keep temps down a bit. I recommend it.
