Why would my fan assembly fall off ? The nut on the fan is toast and the dealer is saying it is my fault. . ???? Is there a electric fan kit that will take care of this ?

When was the fan off last , need to have tightend ? Did the dealer say why its your fault ? They should have a reason .
I'ld like to put in an electric fan asembly , but so far theres nothing that moves the volume of air ,
Go to a junk yard and get a better price .

Nope the dealer has no reason they tried to blame me of not knowing how to remove the fan and trying to cut it off. ????? WTF ????? I'm a mechanic, and know why it fell off, they just don't want to go good for it. It was grinding around there for a long time for sure.

If it was grinding and you are a mechanic, why didn't you fix it?? Before it came apart.

I see that your somewhat new to the site , I hope that this coment doesn't send you off .
Its hard to get any shop to work with you when they can see that its been going on for some time , try and see if they will go half way , that seems fair .

I'm not that new, I've been a member since 03. But I know what you mean, I've been running without the fan for a while now, and unless i'm pulling i haven't had a problem with heat. So I have no idea how long that might have been going on for. I don't care about the fan I'm not hurting for cash its the point of it. The fan was only off once since the truck was new and it was the dealer that took it off, seems funny that it would have fallen off for no other reason ?? I've learn't to never ever deal with this dealer again!!

I haven't driven the truck in months, the wife has been using it. Since she never noticed the truck getting hot or anything. So I havent looked at it, the one time I drive it I notice the rattle and I see that its the fan contacting the idler pulley. Thats why I never fixed it.
