Let me guess, you have no shield for the piston shaft?

Correct, no boots. I have beat the snot out of a lot of bootless shocks over the years off roading at highway speeds. I know dirt/rocks are not shock pistons best friend but 10k miles for an “off-road” “high performance” shock? (Baseline high performance but that is what they advertise). Both shocks? Traveling down the highway? Maybe someone at the factory used a hardware store gauge like I used for my a/c to set the pressure- don’t trust the green level on the gauge, Fox people! ;)

Same happens to my Kings on the right side, one vacation in Iceland destroyed the piston.
Just driving gravel roads will kill them.

I added a homemade shield after wards.
I don't like boots either, they collect dirt Inside.
