I would appreciate any/all suggestions of how to decrease the engine/transmission temperatures on my motorhome. the cheaper solution, the better. the temps are always very close to maximum for all items when pulling hills and on hot highways, can anyone help? This is my vehicle and what has been done on it. 1991,5. 9L,intercooled, 28' low profile motorhome, class A. I pull a 4x4 jeep renegade. A total of approx. 16,000#;Banks-4''exh,turbo,K&N filter, larger intercooler, larger rad iator,90#exh. springs, exhaust brake. Bosch 185 injectors, and tuned by PIERS;just installed is Horton fan system, new 518 transmission/with standard torq. conv. I run amsoil in all systems. For gauges i have; boost/turbo/engine oil/water/tach. /transmission in the pan and at the cooler.

I had a 1990 that had running hot issues. ended up bing a bad head gasket. Under pressure the hot gasses would push threw to and heat up the water, however the leak area was under enough pressure that it didn't allow water to into the crankcase. I was a real pain for rocky mountain cummins to find. But that fixed it.

Is the radiator a cross flow or not. If it isn't then maybe changing out the radiator for a larger one that also is a cross flow would help.
