Just got home from fishing, and while I was unhooking my boat noticed I had antifreeze dripping down on the passengers side of the engine compartment.

Pop the hood, over flow bottle is down to the bottom mark ( add ).

Found where it is coming from... on the passengers side where all the insulation is, there is a tub sticking threw the fire wall, it is coming from there.

Is this something serious? Truck does not even have 12k on it yet.

Can Preston Antifreeze be used to get it back to safe on the over flow?

Think I got the truck from HELL and yes it was made in St. Louis:{

I am almost certain it's your heater core if your getting coolant out that tube. Did you verify that it is pink coolant?? Sometimes water will drip from this if you have had your air on, but it would be clear water from AC. If it's coolant, then it's the heater core. Not a real easy job I don't think and will require the removal of the dash and some other stuff.

Rope thats what I figured it was also... Heater Core. It was pink fluid leaking.
Called dealer and they got it in to look at it. Really do not understand what it was but something about a fitting that is bad in some trucks. Replaced the tube and some clamp and am good to go! So Far my dealer has been great... now if the truck will stop having all these nickel and dime problems, even if it is covered under warranty its still a pain in the *** to have something minor go wrong almost every other week.

That is unusual you are having the problems, but I bought a new 2006 back in Dec of 06 and that &(*)&(* truck was in the shp every other week. Finally started eating water pumps so I traded it on a 07 5. 9. One of the last in existence. LOLOL SO far, knowck on wood, flawless!

HMMM... I have an 06 with 24000 miles on it. The water pump was replaced at about 22000, and I also had a mysterios leak on the passenger side. There is some coolent line that runs on that side and a clamp was loose.

I had the same thing about a month ago, it was a tube on lower passenger side of engine where a hose was connected, hose clamp was not in right position. bg

Well the fix lasted ONE WEEK Called dealer and they are going to look at it @ 7:30 AM.
Any body got any ideas of what could be creating this problem. Seems it does not make any difference if the AC is on or not.
Wish I would have hung onto my '96 Ex Cab Long Bed Cummings now! Only problem I ever had out of it with 150 K was rear axle seals.
This one has got to have been made on Monday in Hell.
Every other week it is having to go back to the dealer for some reason.
